Abigroup contracted HBO + EMTB Urban & Landscape Design
Pty Ltd, who ensured an appropriate design. This included
examining:
- Existing vegetation communities.
- Topography.
- Analysis of how and why planting is used in the landscaping.
- Urban and landscape character precincts.
There were four main areas where community input
was sought in the Urban Design and Landscaping process:
- Billinudgel Industrial Estate streetscaping (within
works area).
- Southern foreshore plan – Brunswick River.
- Key interchange treatment and features (and treatments
on roundabouts).
- Historic markers.
